Re: "MOC" Blacksmith Shop on lego.com

(...) I have “latched onto…specific notions” because I believe your arguments are flawed or contradictory. (...) But on what basis do you think it is a valid comparison… that they are two LEGO sets which are police stations? Why not throw the Duplo (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

If you're an AFOL and you know it raise your hand (WAS: Blacksmith Shop)

Besides, if you could see inside my head, view how my brain operates, you'd realize that even labeling (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "MOC" Blacksmith Shop on lego.com

(...) Richie... For whatever reason, you seem to latch onto one or more specific notions and ignore other parts of my argument in order to make your point. The above is a perfect example. I have already stated that I was NOT comparing piece counts. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(you didn't say "for the eyes of... ONLY" :-) (...) It's not dead, it's just resting. :-) Calling for a member to be banned is a very serious matter.   Re: "MOC" Blacksmith Shop on lego.com

(...) Adult who enjoys 'building' with LEGO sounds like an AFOL to me. What do you think AFOL implies if it doesn't include this type of person? I think any adult who has at least one of the following characteristics is an AFOL: - enjoys building (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "MOC" Blacksmith Shop on lego.com

(...) Yes. You are absolutely correct. These are the things I've said. The two things are not mutually exclusive. I am not such a 'brick purest' that I don't recognize the value of specialty pieces. However, as mentioned, I don't buy a set because (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: "MOC" Blacksmith Shop on lego.com

(...) But, you said you bought them "to round out my collection with a smattering of 'specialty bricks'." (...) But you said you buy sets for good designs. And you just said "I have never and would never buy a set only to get a part or parts.". How (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

For the Eyes of Alfred Speredelozzi

Alfred: What would possess you to bring this topic up after the approx. 20 days the thread has been dead? Your suggestion to Larry has been made by others ad nauseam. Hmm.. this is interesting. Are you saying that you did not write this: "Ban him. (...) No, to quote myself from the posting you replied to: "Whatever parts it happens to contain then so be it. " I have never and would never buy a set only to get a part or parts. If a good set has interesting parts (and hopefully still a hefty (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Been too quiet here...

I stumbled upon this site a little while ago: (URL) Despite the *ahem* subtle political flavor of the text, it must be recognized that it has no real value as an anti-gun-ownership argument. I just found some of the info interesting and something of (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: LEGO... are you out there? Do you care? (WAS: WHY SO LONG ON BULK BRICKS?)

(...) The fans who "hang out" here are mostly adults. Some of us even use adult words from time-to-time.
