Drew, (...) they (...) Your welcome. Sigh, if only LEGO would make some of these sets (Yeah right) that's all right. I will do it myself! : ) Have fun! BTW, I did notice they had a person of African decent on some of their sets. Interesting! Scott (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Mega Bloks Surpising fun...

(...) **snip of some quick and interesting reviews** (...) Don't sweat it, Randy! You're in good, if somewhat sparse, company here, since a small but vigorous number of Lugnet readers are well-disposed to clone brands! Dave! (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Mega Bloks Surpising fun...

After going through much of what's available in Lego of present and (through ebay) past, I've been surprised by some recent Mega Blok stuff and think other Lego fans may want to check this stuff out-- They have a 1400 piece gray Kittyhawk aircraft (...)   Re: Has anyone heard of this?

What I find most interesting on the Best-Lock page is this line at the bottom: "We stock over 100 different Construction Sets, if we don´t currently make the items you require - talk to us - we may be able to help !" Through Brad and Lego (...) (24 years ago, 26-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general)

Re: Has anyone heard of this?

(...) I find that very unlikely. I don't see much anywhere near as much MB on the shelves as real LEGO around here. Stores such as TRU and WalMart tend to stock a few of the bulk tubs of bricks, and KB tends to have a few of the tiny sets, but they (...)   Re: Has anyone heard of this?

(...) I will second Dave! on this one. MB minis do kinda suck, but then it also depends on which ones we are discussing -- I happen to really like the king figure in the Lion's Kingdom set, as well as the Eve White/Eve Black Queen/Witch figures, and (...)   Re: Has anyone heard of this?

(...) In fact, clone brands *have* come up with something on their own, namely a less expensive product to allow children and collectors a wider range of building choices than Lego alone can provide. However, to assert that all clone brands are (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Has anyone heard of this?

(...) Time will tell, I suppose. For my money, the "inferior quality" argument is rapidly becoming obsolete, but I can understand that those with a preference for pure Lego still will not be satisfied in this regard. (...)   Re: Has anyone heard of this?

(...) A key bit is: The appeal judge in Hong Kong was unimpressed with a later patent, taken out by Lego in 1958, for a further adapted design, saying: "The present day brick is essentially the same product as it was in 1949." Well, actually, the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general)
