Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

(...) Thanks for the pics. (...) Hmm. Well usinging the more acurate dimensions compared to the UCS Star Desyroyer the Enterprise set would be 616 meters long. A galaxy class should be 642 meters long. (I know, I originally used the Soverign class (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  USS Nimitz spotted at Wal*Mart

I found (URL) set 9795> at a Wal*Mart in Western PA over the weekend. The price was $49.99, which, if memory serves, was the MSRP of the (URL) set a few years back. Here are a few observations: The design of the Nimitz is vastly different from the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Oxford (Korea) Dragon/Castle set

Hi guys, I've managed to get my hands on one of those Oxford sets from Korea. I've posted a review along with some pics here: (URL) Isaac (Red Bean) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

(...) Uh, I was kidding about that, but thanks for the analysis. I know I always have a resource to consult when I need good starship size comparisons! Dave! (20 years ago, 19-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

I have been busy filling orders for this but had a chance to take one out to play with and photograph a few of the pieces. There are only 3 pre molded pieces. The part that hold the nacels, the bridge, and part of the stand. Everything else is all (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

(...) Actually, no you couldn't. Using the 18 inches equals ~690 meters would require the Star Destroyer to be about 41 3/4 inches (instead of 37) to equal 1600 meters. That doesn't even take into consideration the width and height adjustments. I (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

(...) Couldn't you just add two inches to the Star Destroyer? 8^) Dave! (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

(...) Well assuming the dimensions listed on Bill's website are correct the Enterprise set is actually about two inches (about 100 meters) longer than correct scale with the USC Star Destroyer at 37 inches equaling 1600 meters. The Enterprise may (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Mega Bloks Star Trek Enterprise D Now in

I just wanted everyone know that I have received in the Mega Bloks U.S.S. Enterprise D from and they are ready to ship. I havn't put mine together yet but the packaging is better than I imagined. They recreated the LARS system on the back detailing (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron revisited

I've added a new mech at the top of (URL) page.> I wanted to experiment with foot and cockpit design, and this is what I came up with. Thanks for looking! Dave! FUT: OT.Clones (20 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  MB Nano Sale!

(URL) it was just by chance that I saw this link. I am personally not very enamoured by MegaBloks. But hope this helps for those interested. - Ram - (20 years ago, 8-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MEGABLOKS website updated, finally

A brief bit about the forthcoming USS Enterprise (URL) here> at the bottom of the main page, with info about the newer ProBuilder sets (URL) here>. Updates all around, for that matter. Do a little browsing to see what's what. Dave! (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Trademark defense doesn't work vs Mega Bloks

(...) Actually, I bought the various little metal boxes of figs for use in D&D. I ended up with a number of little hill pieces, as well as the juniorized wall segments. I've taken these and used them to make a little tower on one of the bases, which (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Trademark defense doesn't work vs Mega Bloks

(...) Mmmmmmm. Best Lock are a disappointment - some cool designs and fun models, but waaaaaay too poor in the brick consistency department, and, as you say, not compatible. I picked up a couple of small cheap sets for less than the price of a pack (...) (20 years ago, 6-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: If only we could all build our own Turtle Worlds...

(...) That may be the first time you've seen this set, but it's pretty old, by the looks of things. It's got the old Teenage Mutant HERO Turtle name that was created for the UK (where "ninja" was too negatively associated with "terrorism"), with the (...)   eToys Sale + MegaBloks Sweepstakes

This may not be good for me 'cos my chances of winning the sweepstake will diminish! But anyway here ya go... (URL) Ram - (20 years ago, 5-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

If only we could all build our own Turtle Worlds...

Apparently MEGABLOKS isn't the only brick-based construction toy to have secured a (URL) TMNT> license. I know that Byggis had previously produced some Jurassic Park sets, but this is the first time I've seen the Turtles. Byggis is a very high (...)   Re: Trademark defense doesn't work vs Mega Bloks

(...) Yeah, I picked up a few Best-Lock sets on deep clearance at Target a while back. They don't have anywhere near the clutch power of LEGO or MEGABLOKS, I think because they use a studs-and-slots system rather than studs-and-tubes. It's a shame, (...)   Re: Trademark defense doesn't work vs Mega Bloks

(...) No, except for the Alien Agency set all of our Mega Bloks have come from bulk lots of used LEGO from yard sales, etc. You'd be surprised how much clone material you amass after a while, even with periodic bulk donations to charity.
