Re: Can anyone identify this part?

(...) Thanks Dave! but I fear I'll be a disappointment - all my clone parts (most of which have come hidden in ebay or BL lots) are consigned to the "curiousities" bin. Of course if anyone wants to pay shipping, I'll gladly send it to you but I only (...) (20 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

(...) Hmm... And here's Tim protesting too much... Watch out, LDraw--I predict that Tim's certain to come out of the clone closet in the near future. Dave! (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

(...) It's Tyco. And we clone fans are always happy to welcome a new convert! Dave! (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Can anyone identify this part?

(2 URLs) Looks like a clone to me, but I've no idea what exactly it is or where it came from, can anyone tell me? ROSCO (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: Longshot requests

(...) Actually, those "Wall" sets were my very first Megabloks sets. Before them (which came in a huge long box), I had seen similar sets in carry bags, but didn't think they had enough bricks to be worth it. I think they had the same amount, but (...)   Longshot requests

Does anyone happen to own any MEGABLOKS catalogs from the early to mid 90's, specifically including the Dinosaur sets from that period? I used to have one or two, but I can't find them and fear that they're lost for good. Also, does anyone have a (...) (20 years ago, 18-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Coming up: a real LEGO mosaic

Hi all, As I announced earlier, I am going to make a LEGO mosaic. A trip to Legoland is planned later this year, I hope to find there all the required pieces to finish this project. I have just finished another Ministeck mosaic. (URL) (192x240 (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Re: Reasons for the color change

(...) It takes a lot of effort to draw a crossbow, but not much effort to release it. If the geometry isn't properly designed, there could be a lot of potential force stored in the connection itself that is just waiting to help pop the pieces apart (...)   MB Dragons on sale at Kohl's

Not sure if it's nationwide, but my local Kohl's is currently offering its stock of MB Dragons at 50% off. Dave! (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: new MB

(...) No, that came in a baggie at Toys 'R' Us with 2 other small vehicle sets I forgot to post about (apologies): (URL) (I've NEVER seen the red imagination bucket B4, but it looks SWEET!) So there's 6 new sets, the most recent being the small (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: new MB

(...) Was this one of them? (URL) set is worth the price for the trans-yellow canopy alone, IMO. Thanks for the heads-up. And you're still a stinker for getting the A-10 set (which *still* hasn't arrived in my area!) Dave! (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  new MB

I was in Brook's drug store in Keene, NH 2nite & found 2 of 3 new $4 MB sets: a yellow space fighter, & a lime green dune buggy; they didn't have the third set (shown on the back of the boxes), a red mini sub. Cool sets Jeff (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  A little bird told me

about (URL) good deal at KBToys.com. The MSRP for each of these sets is about $20.00, so this is a noteworthy deal. The designs are very cool, IMO exceeding anything mech-like offered by LEGO to date. Dave! (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

Re: Two new clone brick lines....

(...) Mike, Yes they are able to sit flush next to LEGO bricks. There is no gap. They can really add to your creations and look really cool. I have enjoyed working with them and my next project is going to be a logo for the school I work for. Bill (...) (20 years ago, 2-May-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Two new clone brick lines....

(...) Very interesting. The pricing is pretty good too. One question though. With the "grip lock" on the sides do they sit flush next to a LEGO brick, is there a gap, or can it not sit directly next to a LEGO brick using the studs? For me at least, (...)   MEGABLOKS Masked Raider figures on Ebay

(URL) Standard disclaimers: It's not my auction, I don't know the seller, and I won't be bidding. Shipping is a murderous $18.00 from Hong Kong, so even if the auction closes with the asking price of $30.00, you'll be paying $4.80 per figure. Dave!   Re: Two new clone brick lines....

Hi! I know of one other clone brand that no one has mentioned yet. It is called PixelBlocks. They are 1x1 translucent bricks that connect like LEGO bricks on the top and bottom but can also connect on the sides. They come in 20 different translucent (...)   Re: Ill tidings for Built-To-Rule?

(...) My local TRU has marked down its BTR products even further, though the posted pricetags don't reflect it. I picked up the Tonka Rapid Response fire truck and the Transformers Optimus Prime set, each with 100+ pieces and each for $4.98 versus (...)   Re: Two new clone brick lines....

(...) I believe the x-blocks are made by 'popular jegutes' (sp?) a spanish company that made exin castles, looking at the box, the bricks, & stair elements seem to be the same as the exin pieces Jeff (20 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
