Whilst on the subject of Lego / not Lego, I have a question. I have recently bought at a boot fair a bag of Lego, most appearing to be the same era as the stuff I have from childhood, c 1970's. A fair bit of the Lego is obviously different though. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jul-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Liz, I've cross-posted this to the clone brands subgroup of Lugnet, where you'll get people much more knowledgable of the similarities & differences between Lego and other manufacturers. I just received a Zainy Brainy sale flyer in the mail and they are listing three of the new Mega Bloks Dragon sets. The sale starts 7/25 and ends 8/31. The sets listed: A. There's 9 gray 2x4 bricks in the chest and some rock pieces and a turret plus the warriors. All chests have the same parts I think, maybe different warriors (there are gold and silver chests). For $5 it is cool. If you just want to try the new (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

It's two pieces; the rear part actually connects to the surrounding bricks and provides the pivot on which the front part of the canopy hinges up. Very cool. It's reminiscent of the canopy (...)
