Re: 'Lego Ban' at Seattle School Fueled by Anti-Private Property Crusaders

(...) Right! Anyone should be allowed to walk into your home, treat your house with disrespect, and call you evil when you object. (...) Of course, because civil engineering has taught us that all humans of every culture fit very neatly and easily (...) (19 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Hmm. If I was a kid in this class I'd steal my teacher's car. How could they press charges, given their professed beliefs? Bruce (19 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Cobi "Castles and Dragons" Question:

(...) Hi Jared! I'm not aware of any announced plans by Cobi/Best-Lock to expand its range of offerings here in the US, though those castle sets would definitely be a welcome addition. To the best of my knowledge we've so far only seen the Town, (...) (19 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Cobi "Castles and Dragons" Question:

Hello! This is my first post to this newsgroup, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it even exists! Non-purists with a forum on LUGNET????? What is this world coming to! I seriously doubt that anyone will have the answer to (...) (19 years ago, 27-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Any WordPress gurus out there?

(...) Hi Mike, From what I understand, that setting will not affect spambots. I think the only way to reduce the spam comments (especially pingback & trackback) is to activate the Askimet plugin (comes with recent WP) and possibly also install a (...)   Any WordPress gurus out there?

I am running WordPress for the NCLTC and NCLUG web sites and even though I have turned on the setting which requires registration to comment, I still receive a bunch of spam comments. Anyone know how this is happening and what I can do to prevent (...) (19 years ago, 23-Feb-07, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Smallest cube ever!?

(...) hmmm. I have a suspicion that most non-integer cubes are impossible because of the way the surfaces can be constructed. Each side of a surface must be constructed out of I + 1/5 J plate units (I and J integer) since we can only make them out (...) (...) Gimme a break. This is a prank gone wrong, not an abuse of power. Deleting all of a member's posts, or breaking links in a way that couldn't be restored, that would be an abuse.
