  Re: Here's a scary one

(...) Ok, now here's one that's even scarier: (URL) really scary though is the debate over on Sean K. Reynold's boards where one guy is saying that the guy deserved the punnishment because he broke the particular law. No reasoning that perhaps when (...)   Re: MegaBloks

(...) After many years of LEGO purchases, I've recently added some MB sets. As I live in Denmark, I can buy only LEGO in the stores, and pays the very high price accordingly. So to get MB sets, I have to buy from UK or USA. I have bought quite a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jul-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) Did i mention the MB Dragon’s line somewhere?!? (I don't think i linked to it?) Actually i was referring to their new 'Pyrate' line and how they reinvented the minifig that really got my attention. Interestingly enough though, the Dragon line (...)   Re: MegaBloks

(...) Thanx-man! I actually totally forgot about that! Plus, i never really wanna leave Lugnet, i'm here for the people, they just 'happen' to share the same enthusiasm for a hobby we all enjoy. Peace, --==Richard==-- (21 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) Hi Kirby thanks for your response! I can see in the next few years Megabloks gaining greater market share and continuing to improve it's product line in terms of quality, realism and general appeal to a wider youth audience then Lego. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.castle, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) I try not to aknowledge the Junior line. Though I have bought some Junior sets at deep discount for some chrome pcs and out of curiosity as to what I might be able to do with some of the parts. Most of the pcs went to my kids who gleefully (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) I personally don't know - but Lugnet DOES have a forum for discussing Megabloks and other clone brands: (URL) . You'll probably get more information there. -Lenny :followups to o-t.clone-brands (21 years ago, 3-Jul-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) Doh! It looks as though, once again, you're correct. As it turns out, the old "file.bat" accessed a location on the network, rather than the internet. Darn it. Thanks for ending my wild goose chase, though. Dave! (21 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) That works if the site is on your windows network, so you can access it as \\hostname\path\to\file... But if it's not available, I don't think it's doable... Say, if you try to copy (URL) to your local drive, I don't think it'll work. But I'd (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) I wish I could remember or find it, but it was something dirt-simple like this: copy //www.doofus.com/dol...d/fool.txt c:\network\fool.txt but I can't recall the formatting, and that's the whole problem. Dave! (21 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) Does that mean that XP provides an internal way to download files? How does that work? Can you show us that one line? :) (21 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) After I left work last night I realized that my formulation of the question was really feeble, so here's some more info, if it helps. I guess it's not *really* DOS but is intead a DOS shell running on Windows XP. In my former department I used (...) (21 years ago, 30-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Is there a standard syntax?

(...) Dave, I'm pretty sure you can't do it without an external program. If you have FTP access to the file, you can use the command-line ftp program included with most msdos versions, otherwise you will need a non-dos program, I would recommend GNU (...)   Souter Farm target of hotel proposal?

(URL) case this link goes stale, apparently someone has made a proposal that Justice David Souter's(1) farm in NH be condemned under eminent domain and used to site a hotel. It's pretty clear the proposal is a protest but I found it interesting (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Is there a standard syntax?

Hi All: I know next to zilch about programming, even in DOS, so this question is asked in ignorance and good faith. If I'm writing a .bat program to copy a file from a known, static location on the web, is there a standard format by which the (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Information about the new Metal Ages Dragons line (URL) These sets appear to have a more "Eastern" fantasy vibe to them, and the new Dragon Eggs sets are also featured. Dave! (21 years ago, 28-Jun-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
