  Re: Some Target finds

(...) Keep checking all the Targets in your area, Dave! The clearance schedule seems to vary. If it's that big set in the heavy metal box, even I am intrigued. If I find one for $12.44 I believe I will buy it, just to see what could possibly be (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Some Target finds

I was hoping to find one of those "Everything Dave can carry for one dollar" sales, but the management said they'd never heard of it. However, I did find some good deals (all names and prices approximate): Dragon's Warrior's fortress $18.84 (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

OMGoodness--an American tells it like it is (outside ot-d)

(URL) especially like the 10 reasons to switch--here's just one: " Number 4: America prides itself in being the "leader of the Western World, leader of the free nations." The cornerstone of this being Democracy, something the Vikings of Iceland (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Great resource for finding newspaper stories

(URL) (1) The "internet public library" purports to collect links to online versions of many many newspapers. I checked it out and found several, although I can't guarantee every link they said is there actually is. Thanks to "Seraphim" of Megatokyo (...)   Re: What's the big deal about the Mini TIE?

(...) Hehe, I remember seeing that. I thought "Wow, what a lame set!" But still, business is business. Kind of sneaky, yet funny. ~Evan Butzlaff (22 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: MB 2-Go sets #s 9114, 9115

(...) I wonder if these are sets for 2003. If so, I'm encouraged to see that the Warriors: Future Force lives on, in the hope that this tiny mech foreshadows additional releases still to come. You're right about the leg design, alas. (...) I love (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  MB 2-Go sets #s 9114, 9115

See them here: (URL) sets are only "okay" as a build experience, and the "Dune" mecha kinda sucks actually (the leg design is quite useless) -- BUT... ...these sets are amazing for parts packs!!! Check it out: Trans-red, and trans-yellow detailed (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) You know, the dumb part of this post is that I had totally overlooked Erik's siting of these sets: (URL) pennance, I drove this morning to my nearest Wal-Mart some 10 miles from my workplace, but all for naught! The search continues... Dave! (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

(...) Looks pretty damn fine to me. The new elements include some large one piece wall sections - I don't like 'em in Lego, and I don't like 'em here. But the dislikedness of this bit doesn't overcome my general enthusiasm (and it does enhance the (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Mega Bloks New Alien Agency

  Bilofix

Anyone know where Bilofix came from? Bilofix is very like Airfix Engineer*, an Erector like system with holed beams, nuts and bolts, wheels, and brick connectors. I have been told it's 1950s, even that Lego made it. Sounds like Billund. But then (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)
