Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

And even a Kenny-sculpture! (Too bad he didn't build it with orange bricks...) This page is simply stunning. I wish I could read Japanese. Fredrik (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

"I wonder if he'll accept cash or check?" Man! those have got to be some of the best models I have seen. I swear, that Loader Mech has got to be the best mech models I have ever seen and the spaceships, especially that micro-fig dropship with the (...)   Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

Ouch! I bruised my jaw on my desk! What a wonderful microfig scale ship! I must link to this site. Pat J I'm putting the finishing touches on a ship that has a similar overall design. I'll post soon.   Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

I came across Ken Takei's site while following some links from the (upcoming) Lego 5th Element Movie interview(my japanese isn't good enough to translate that, though B-\ ). Ken's site in a foreign language, but I think the pictures carry across (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: looking for 5540 stickers

(...) If these come falling out of the sky, I might be interested in some also. On the other hand, that's a great parts set (I have one of these in a pile of LEGO sets I got from a kid entering his dark ages). (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  2556 F1 Ferrari

Recently I built the 2556 Shell Ferrari. It is truly a great model, particularly so cosidering all those curves in the real car it models after. (See (URL), in particular (URL).) In comparison, 5540, the previous Model Team racer, looks boxy. My (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Age range for Model Team

(...) The Austrian, German and Slovak catalogs from 1989 shows the age range EXACTLY 9-99 years ! ;)) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  looking for 5540 stickers

If someone has the stickers for the 5540 and would like to sell, please contact me. But it would be great also if someone who has these would be so kind to send me a scanned picture of the stickers. Thanks marco (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Age range for Model Team

(...) The age ranges on _individual_ LEGO System sets vary a lot in the Norwegian LEGO catalogue. Typically from 5+ to 8+ depending on the size and complexity. This applies to Technic as well (with other age brackets, obviously). For a reference, (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  Age range for Model Team

This is interesting: 1989 - 1993 catalogs show the age range as 9 and up. 1994 - 1996 catalogs show the age range as 9 - 16. 1999 S&H catalog shows the age range as 9+ I don't have any other catalogs :-))) The box for 5571 shows the age range as (...)   Re: A large Steam Locomotive & others

Steam locomotive would be cool. But not in minifig scale !!! In minifig scale we have Trains series. Models in Model Team must be bigger. With much more details like classic Trains. But not only trains would be cool. Also ships. What about Titanic ? (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: A large Steam Locomotive

The Chopper is a too big, but not ridiculous looking with minifigs in it. It only looks silly next to some of the other minifig choppers they have, which are way too small for the role they play. (Police choppers and med choppers are much larger (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  RE: A large Steam Locomotive

Well yes, a true minifig-scale train would be a nice size, but could it still be compatible with other Lego trains? Which existing Model Team sets do you feel are compatible with minifig scale? I guess minifigs wouldn't look *too* out of place in a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

  Re: A large Steam Locomotive

I actually am looking at the same thing. Not all Model Team sets are incompatible with mini-fig scale. Most are larger than that, just due to the fact that they are big sets. Imagine how much larger a Locomotive is when compared to a semi truck. To (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.modelteam)
