My local K-mart is ok, the people are very nice, the store is pretty • clean, but
they installed those stoopid self check out machines, should have invested • in
price scanners in the aisles like WM & Target.

Julie

I did *NOT* like the self check out machines.  It seemed like a good idea
until I actually used one.

They have some sort of sensors in them that check to see if you put the item
you scanned into the bag, which is fine for stuff that fits in the bag.  I
was buying 8 pod racer buckets though and had no intention of individually
bagging them.  This is, however, exactly what I ended up doing because it
would not let me scan the next item until I did so.

Seems wasteful and a pain in the butt if you ask me.  And I don't think I
got out of the store any quicker.  They have 1 person watching 4 checkouts,
and she was kept busy.  Apparently I wasn't the only one having trouble with
the system.
