  Re: Hidden Shipping Costs?

(...) It would take very little effort, I completely agree. Unfortunately, I've run across more than one arrogant eBay seller who thinks they know everything there is to know about shipping and selling. Often, they know little or nothing. Trust only (...)   Re: Hidden Shipping Costs?

(...) If the seller has lots of positive feedback, then it is unlikely that they are ripping off their buyers with postage charges, so I probably would not bother to even ask. If the seller has little/no feedback, then I would email for (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

  Hidden Shipping Costs?

Hi there: I've got my eye on a few auctions on Ebay, and I'm troubled by the sellers' choices not to include estimated shipping costs for two of the items. It seems to me that it would take very little effort to calcuate shipping to the four corners (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Wow! Check the price of this fig.

(...) Hmm, I've got a Jar Jar or two somewhere. I think I should auction them on ebay, saying "I have seen this sell for up to 2000 dollars, here is your chance to get it at a fraction of that!" and see what happens. I wonder to what extent you can (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: New LEGO slogan: Play On ...

At last, hope for those unfortunate employees of toy stores who have to listen to the Lego song play over and over until "Just Imagine" is burned into their psyche forever. Maybe one day they roll out a "Play On" song. Maybe the next space theme (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

When I visited this link, the images to the right were not available, so it is hard for me to comment on the brand-organization changes mentioned in the article. I imagine it is a matter of (...) (...) I seriously doubt its schilling. The 2 highest bidders have fb of 172 and 206. Schilling usually happens with peopel with low fb. And the highest it ever sold on Bricklink is $50 - here...   Re: Wow! Check the price of this fig.

This is probably a case of online bid jacking. He's probably got a couple buddies bidding up the price so it seems 'hot'. It's a bit unethical but then again, who said the internet requires ethincs? It happens probably more than we think. I refuse (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Dang! That guys willing to pay $51 dollars just for Leia?!   Re: Wow! Check the price of this fig.

(...) I love the quote on the auction: "I have seen this sell for up to 50 or 60 dollars here is your chance to get it at a fraction of that" I guess it is a fraction, though-- just an improper fraction, now that it's $51.00 :) DaveE (24 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Wow! Check the price of this fig.

Warning. This is not my auction and I don't think anyone here should bid on it (we are all smarter than that anyway). Tell me if this seems strange to you...   Re: Use of trademarks.. is www.legoaftermarket.com legal?

First, thank you, Jake, for giving a reply. It is this willingness to engage in discussion that sets the Lego company apart from the rest. Also, I would suggest to everyone, that following the fair play policy is a good idea. Why? Even if my claim (...) (24 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Use of trademarks.. is www.legoaftermarket.com legal?

(...) True. Though this decision is a departure from the way lower courts have been treating URLs. It is change in policy. So, future suits by Ford and Chrysler may not be successful. Also, keep in mind this case is about someone selling Ty's (...) (24 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Use of trademarks.. is www.legoaftermarket.com legal?

But there again LEGO is their name and it's not like many other company names that come from general (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.brickshops, lugnet.market.theory)

Use of trademarks.. is www.legoaftermarket.com legal?

Is www.legoaftermarket.com legal? I think it is. At least in the region of the 7th circuit court of appeals in the U.S. This case is an interesting read for anyone selling Lego toys. It is a case brought by Ty (Beanie Babies) against a website owner (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.market.brickshops, lugnet.market.theory)
