Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins! —William R. Ward
(...) I visited the Targets in Mountain View, San Mateo, and Redwood City (California) today, and found 50% off. All the cheap stuff was in a separate section, mixed in with other toys. NOTE: They don't necessarily put all LEGO together. I found (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins! —Lou Pereira
Just wondering if anyone in the New England area has seen the 4561 Railway Express reduced beyond $99.99 at Target? All of the Target's I've visited in Mass. have not made the 4561 part of this year's clearance. Since they reduced the price after (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I'm starting to think you're right, nationwide, with a few very limited exceptions. As long as they clear the shelves at 50%, they don't need to GO to 75%.       (...) After visiting 3 Target stores in Richmond VA this week,I found one store with no 4561s, one store with with three 4561s @ $90.99 (I found a piece of track out of one of the boxes and slid it back in), and one store with three sets at regular (...)          Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins! —Renard Graham
(...) Well I must be one of the lucky (hated) ones. I flew through the targets in my area on Wednesday and scored 4 of the 4561 train sets at 50% off. One of them is missing some substantial pieces though. 5 sections of curved track, coupling (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

I'm also one of those lucky but probably hated ones as well! I did my clearance shopping wednesday night and hit 4 x Targets in Wisconsin. I managed to get 10 4561's at 50% off (and yes, other than the parts I don't need, they are all for me!) 2 off (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: 2nd Round of Target Sales Begins! —Mark Cornell
The Concord, NH Target still has 4561's at $99.99 and not in the clearance section. Seven of them disappeared one night, so I think they might have been returned to Lego or something. I am most disappointed, as I fully intended to scoop them up at (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)
