Bram,
A couple things are worth noting here:
1. That image isn't really a version of the logo. Note that it's in the
wrong orientation (flipped along one axis and rotated 90 degrees) and
apart from it not having solid flat edges, it also has 6 extra studs
compared to the real logo. So it's really just a piece of "art" to enjoy,
and was included on that page only for historical and legal reasons. It's
one of the early study drawings based on the same block design that the
real logo is based on.
2. Please note the P.S. statement at the bottom of the text on that page
(right above the images). It says:
All images on this page are ™ and ©1998 by Todd Lehman and Suzanne
Rich. The images below must not be used or republished anywhere
without permission.
The individual images also contain a copyright notice and "All rights
reserved." These rights include the exclusive right to use the logo on
clothing and other articles, the choice to license (or not to license)
the logo to third parties, etc.
We're very pleased to hear that people are enthusiastic about seeing the logo
on clothing, etc., but we do not yet have a licensing program in place. At
the current time, any use of the logo without prior approval is strictly
prohibited.
Again, at some point in the future, we hope to offer some items with the logo.

| One quick point, the hat I did is text only. I have permission for text only, and have no intent of a logoed version until and unless the trademark holder (that's Todd and Suz) grants it. I don't anticipate that in time for the opening. (26 years ago, 26-Feb-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)
