I've never been charged anything; the large package of used stuff I got from
Germany yesterday was stamped "US Customs  Passed Free" or something to that
effect.  I think I actually looked around the Customs Bureau website awhile
back to see if I risked getting charged something on larger packages, and
eventually decided that there is no duty on Lego and similar items.  I've not
been charged any yet, and this is the first time I've seen any indication of
Customs even looking at packages from Europe, Australia, or elsewhere.

What have been your experiences US Customs duties on Lego shipments from
Europe? Do they let them in without charging duties? If not, how much do
they typically charge? Does the Postal Service do the collecting of
fees?
