Hey Randy. If you haven't opened the set and you still have your sales receipt
then just hang on to it for another week or two. By then the discount will be
either 50% or 75% off. Pick an evening to return it to Target just before the
store closes, between 9:00-9:30 p.m. Take note of what the item rings up for or
just ask the cashier. Sometime afterhours the item will be processed and put
back on the shelves for sale. So go back first thing the next morning when the
store opens and buy it again for less!
Don't worry, this is all within the law and Target's policies regarding unopened
merchandise accompanied by the original sales receipt within 90 days of
purchase. One time I was able to score 2 AT-AT sets for $50. I got them on
clearance for $70 each, waited 2 weeks and returned them when the discount had
reached 75%. The next morning I bought them back for $25 each.
One warning when you are at the service counter: If the cashier scans it and it
doesn't appear in their system at all then change your mind and keep it. A
cashier told me sometimes Target will send items back because they'll get more
than if they tied to sell it in the store. I learned this the hard way when I
got too greedy and returned Jango Fett's Slave 1 to try to get it cheaper.

| Targets here were pretty well cleaned out of lego ( according to employees - I only called them ). I did go to one store that had one Mindstorms NXT left - got it for 30% off - probably would have been 50% the next day, but it would have been gone, (...)
