FOTM: Mindstorms , and a place to check for lego

Hi all, Just thought I'ld share a little FOTM, which also showcases a new place to look for Lego. My NLSO was looking for furniture at (URL), which is basically a free, semi-localized classified ads service. She stumbled upon a local guy selling (...)   Re: Orient Expedition and Designer Sets in CA

(...) The Lego store at Downtown Disney has the Dragon Fortress in stock (6/28). No Junk though! I was tempted but with all Harry Potter at 50% off I finally got a Hogwart's Castle (besides the two I sold previously when it first came out and was in (...)   Re: Target Clearance: Gringott's $7!

(...) After dealing with this for 2-3 years and invariably asking WM people why/whats with this, this is the best explanation that I've been able to formulate... If WM has something that is marked as Discontinued (aka Non-Replinishable) *and* the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Target Clearance: Gringott's $7!

(...) In the case of the Hogwarts Castle, it scanned $0.00 on the aisle, it rang "not on file" at a checkout and also at guest services. GS had to get someone from toys to come up with a hand price scanner gun to find out the real price was 75% off. (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Where and what to buy?

(...) As I suspected. Sigh. It is STILL lost on me why Pitsco got the Dacta monopoly in the US from LEGO... I haven't seen the value add or synergy from combining them, but that's just me. (...) Indeed. Their shipping is 6% or 6 dollars... whichever (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Target Clearance: Gringott's $7!

(...) Usually if it rings up at 0.00, take it to customer service or someone with a scanner gun. They can look the price up. You would think it would be the last price, but usually it is the 50% off (although ever once in a while it is at the 75%). (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Target Clearance: Gringott's $7!

(...) My understanding of Target policy is that when the product scans at $0.00, they are supposed to charge the last price on record. The easiest way to find someone who can mark the price for you is to go to the women's fitting rooms. The employee (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Target Clearance: Gringott's $7!

(...) I was told by a target employee that $0.00 means its been closed out and is supposed to go back to the warehouse. I have been told I couldn't even buy a $0.00 item before and other times they "made up" a price. Gary (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)
