Re: BrickBay Enhancement (was Re: PayPal only in USA?!?)

(...) This would be so freakin' cool I'd probably never shop anywhere else for parts. The internal logistics would be pretty straightforward to set up, unless there's something I'm not seeing. It would (ideally) just be another payment option - (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

BrickBay Enhancement (was Re: PayPal only in USA?!?)

(...) Actually, I was thinking that you and Dan Jezek could combine services, or BrickBay could add "factoring" and act like a bank the way PayPal does. I suggested this to Dan, and that I could post about it and see what people think, and he said (...)   Re: PayPal only in USA?!?

(...) Soon in internet time is apparently elastic. Sometimes it's a matter of weeks. In this particular case it has been MONTHS that they have been saying "soon" and it's not any sooner yet that I can see. (...) Get a pal in the US to factor for (...)   PayPal only in USA?!?

I just tried to sign up, and found this: " 3. International Use. You must be a resident of the United States to use the Service. International accounts will be available soon." Dang - Now what am I supposed to do? Most business web-sites I've seen (...) (24 years ago, 29-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

  Factoring

I had posted that I might be discontinuing Factoring on or about 1 September.... so I wanted to update folks. Things got better. The volume of transactions seems to have gone down somewhat, perhaps because sellers have been seeking other (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

Re: paypal business vs personal (was: Re: "Member reputations" at PayPal)

X.com no longer allows funding your account with a credit card, so it will not easily replace Paypal. Payplace is pretty nice, but the only way to get your money out is to credit your credit card. They do accept American Express, though, which is (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

So what is your reading on the meaning of "regular basis" in the PayPal T&C: If you use the Service for the purpose of conducting e-commerce on a regular basis, you agree to register for, or upgrade to, a Premier or Business Account.   Re: Wanted Lists on Brickbay

Yes, I must agree. This is how I interpreted it as well, thoa I noticed that I seem to be getting available notices whenever any item shows up, regardless of my color choice. (I have no CNA picks.) I don't know if that is what you intended. At first (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Wanted Lists on Brickbay

(...) Parts that don't have color associated with them means that people picked "color not applicable" when adding that item to their wanted list. By first seeing the wanted list yesterday, I guess people assumed that when selecting "Color not (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Wanted Lists on Brickbay

Very cool Dan. Will help me determine which parts to list first ;) Question though: some of the items don't seem to have colors associate with them. Does this mean that they are looking for them in any color? And will they be notified when the part (...) (24 years ago, 20-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)

  Wanted Lists on Brickbay

Hi, I got numerous e-mails requesting that the items on people's wanted lists be made public to give sellers an idea of what sets to part out so here it is: (URL) 709 unique parts and 134 sets desired by Brickbay members. Some items may have 1 or (...) (24 years ago, 19-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.services)
