The Weeks box round two - who wants in? —Christopher L. Weeks
Hi all, The Weeks box is getting ready to go out after sitting on it and thinking for two months. If you want to see it (even if you've already sent me email - because I've lost them) reply to this note with the general area in which you live. I'm (...)      Hi all, I've gotten surprisingly little interest in the second round of my box - even after generally positive comments. Here's what I have in the order that I'm thinking of right now, for recipients. If you're interested in seeing it and aren't on (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) Well, we work about a mile apart and we live in the same town (which isn't saying much, Cary NC is encroaching on the next county, though we actually live fairly close to each other [and I live closer to the Target and TRU])...       I'll want in on it, as long as the weight is trimmed a bit - that was a pretty heavy one last time too ;-) Sunnyvale, CA (...) -- | Tom Stangl, Technical Support Netscape Communications Corp | Please do not associate my personal views with my (...)       I would be interested in Minifig Box #2 again. I would like to see the maxifigs, etc. gone though to reduce weight. Tim (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) Some thoughts: - remove most of the catalogs and instructions, those are wieghty, and generally of limited interest - is that mania magazine a recent one? If so, I'd hold it for a box which is about to go overseas - split the box into two (...) (24 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in? —Tom Stangl
Please do lighten it, 9 lbs costs an obscene amount to ship unless you trudge to UPS, and even then it isn't cheap. You'd have to find an awful lot of pieces in the box to make it cheaper than an Ebay lot. Up to 8 lbs, USPS is generally cheaper than (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Chris, I had expressed interest in round 2 before I left for my UK vacation. I'm in the same neighborhood as Tom Stangl; should I just piggyback on his session? Paul Sinasohn (24 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) Hey Doug that would be pretty easy! I'd be happy to split postage - is there a UPS close to you (I'm only close to a post office and a FedEx near work :( I'm guessing that UPS will be cheaper, but I guess it depends on the weight of the box (...)
