Does anyone know why I am not listed on the status page for the boxes I signed up for 3 weeks ago. The status page states that it was updated on 10/31. Just wondering. - Jim -- (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Junk Boxes

I agree, basic bricks are just adding to the shipping costs on the Junk boxes, at least. Might as well find someone who actually likes them (for realism on "junk" type models) (NOT me, I prefer ALL my bricks mint), and send them to them to trim the (...)   Junk Boxes

I've got Junk Box #1 right now, which is about to head up to Canada. I have a question before I send it off though. It is now bulking in at more than 2 pounds (cost $4.30 to send to me). Half the weight (or more) is plain rectangular bricks and (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

(...) So, does anyone know where the drab box is now? This one, I think, has taken way too long to get through the Canadian tour with very little updating. Of course, I'd probably not notice except that I'm next when it gets to the states. :) Ben (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

(...) That would be my fault. :/ I've been spending most of my jambalaya time co-ordinating the boxes and doing 'background' stuff, and neglecting to tell people about it. I'll try and get better for that, but as has been the case most of the time (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Hello All, Mookie <Mookie1@worldnet.att.net> wrote in article <38240F4E.5C5A11C6@w...tt.net>... (...) Well, you may not always get any advanced warning. :) Someone on the tour was nice enough to list out all of the snail mail addresses in the box. I (...)   Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

(...) Hey! I posted when I had the drab box and sent it on, and one of the General boxes, can't remember which. I didn't post details of what went in and out, but I did mention a few highlights. Kevin (25 years ago, 6-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

I think a week is pretty long too, You get at least 3 to 4 days warning it's coming when someone sends for your address, that gives you some time to pick out some stock you've got that you might be willing to put in the box, the box shows up, you (...)   Technic Box #1 Update (Canadian Tour)

This box arrived at my door yesterday (Nov 4). It was extremely well packaged and very nicely wrapped. The parts themselves were in bubble wrap with newspaper at either end of the box. I was most impressed by the condition of the contents though. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

Thanks for your note Tom. I agree that it is sure frustrating not to see the status. I thought I would send an email to James Brown to ask him how the Canada tour was going with the Technic box and he took the time to send me the following reply: (...) In lugnet.market.jambalaya, Larry Pieniazek writes: I would like to be tagged onto the end of this box. Mostly because I want to see how much it changes content in the ~20 people it goes through before I'll see it again. James (URL) (25 years ago, 5-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

(...) Apparently many of them are circulating without posts being put here. I've got Junk Box #1 in hand, plan to mail it Monday. Junk Box #2 and Minifig Box #2 are on their way to me. I'll be contacting the next of kin for each of these boxes (...) (25 years ago, 5-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Is Jambalaya a dismal failure?

Why are we seeing so FEW updates from so MANY boxes bouncing around to so MANY people? I can understand not having the time to write up an inventory of swapped parts (I don't have time to do that), but I can't understand not having 30 seconds to (...)
