Todd, if you don't like this idea for the threads, go ahead and delete the messages EXAMPLE: Hi, I'm Jack Legomaniac, and I'm starting a box of special legos made of moon dust. WHo wants it next?? (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  I'm Baaack (Canadian Jambalaya's)

Ok, I'm back. (and mostly caught up on my e-mail, no less) I'll try to sum up things fairly concisely, if I can. Box #5 has 4 Canadians interested in it so far. (Counting Martin & me) We could use some more, folks. I think that regular airmail (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) <snipped proof of inconsistency> Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds. And I have a large mind (or at least a swelled head). Just ask anyone. If everyone posted their request as a reply to the original thread then we'd have a nice (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) Larry, not too long ago you thought seperate threads were a good thing :) (URL) reference to (URL) think (of course I don't know) it would be easier for Tamy to check who put in a sign up request if we keep the original thread as a sign up (...)   Re: Box Progress

Better yet - when you receive a box, add areply to your sign-up message stating so. And a third message after that saying when and to whom you've shipped it. Paul Sinasohn Suggestions 'R Us (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Box Progress

I think we could use just one thread for all the boxes for a Mailed or received type tracking... Julie if you start it why don't you name it something like Boxes in Route/Received. or something better if you can come up with something off the top of (...)   Re: Box Progress

I think it would be nice to have 3 threads per box. One thread to sign up - obviously already exists. One thread to say box received - or maybe should be for when box is sent? One thread to view a contents log, it doesn't have to be an exact piece (...) (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Box Progress

Is there any way for us to tell who has the boxes at any one time, and what is the time frame on each step? It seems like at least 2-3 weeks per step to me. I was hoping to get the box I am signed up for before Jan. 2000. Is that realistic? Timbo (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: General box #5 Canada tour

Due to a snafu (i.e., my long suffering NLSO blew off mailing this box when I was out of town yesterday and today) I still have GB#5, it hasn't actually gone out to Martin yet. So if there is a desire for a change in the starting position, that can (...) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Canada tour question

Hi Tamy, James contact me personnaly and I reply to him the same way (or I think he did that way), By the way I'm in Quebec and I thinks that some guy in the Maritime (NB, NS, IPE, NF) sign up for some boxes, so if I'm first in the north, the boxes (...)   Re: Canada tout question

That's why James was trying to talk to you, about fitting you into the tour so it didn't start in the middle someplace, Then you all could just ship it from one end to the other and everyone would have had a chance. Though you never answered him :( (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: General box #5 Canada tour

Martin, I put James in just because you were getting it first, I'm not sure yet if he's got anyone signed up for it or not, I thought he was only supposed to be gone for around a week, maybe he's a little late in getting back. Mail me when you are (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Canada tout question

(...) I would think regular mail is enough. It'snot a life-or-death thing <g>. Kevin (in Vancouver), not signed up for GB#5 but since it's the first one to reach Canada I will sign up for it! (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Canada tout question

Hi, Canada Post is charging 2 different rate for XpressPost 1 regional and 1 national. So here are the questions: do we need xpresspost or regular mail is enough? If xpresspost is requiried do we do a one way trip across Canada? If the second option (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
