James,

Given you're only 12, making such comments as "come to my house...ask my mum"
are excusable. But please understand that the people that you are dealing with
are adults (most probably) and deal with issues in a mature way.

LUGNET is a discussion forum, and by that it means you have to post articles,
comments, opinions etc. Part of being mature is to accept these comments, to
understand that other people have opinions that WILL be different to yours and
most importantly be able to handle any criticism that may come your way. No one
is purposely attacking you and so chances are that the criticism will be
constructive.

By choosing not to participate in the discussion, I'm afraid you're closing the
door on yourself. Rather than thinking that people are making personal attacks
at someone, consider what you can learn from what's being said.

Of course if you do feel that the way things are done here are a bit beyond
you, maybe it is time to just watch then participate as you learn and get more
information.

Just adding my two cents worth into it

Hello,
To all those who have replied, I got a 6090 MISB from the internet at $150USD
at YAHOO! Auctions, I have recently been looking at it and I don't seem to
want it, obviously I wouldn't be able to get one in Melbourne! About the train
station transaction, that has been resolved! John and I have resolved this, he
has his $120AU and I even bought some of those mini-fig packs. the 6086 and
the fort legorado was traded to me for a 6091 and 3053, I am quite upset. You
don't seem to trust me I see visit my feedback on YAHOO! Auctions, my username
is james_miles_au and I have a +5 rating, no doubt I am joined with my cousin
miles! I wish not to post on LUGNET for a month hopefully you will understand!
I am offended if you don't see what I am saying, you don't think I have it, go
on come to my house and buy it off me in front of me! I am very annoyed how
people these days don't understand, I hope I have answered everything. I
refuse to be bagged, actually, let's see why don't you contact me MUM and see
if she believes me, I don't think you all understand that we are a community
and that I usually post when I can. Sorry to all those who did not offend me
on this matter and looking out for a young tweleve year old, just thought you
may want to know that I am getting a 6085, on saturday from someone in
blackburn, if anyone wants to contact me outside about LEGO not me, e-mail me
at james_ng@start.com.au, I will talk to many of you in september when
everything is normal.

Regards,
James

I'm a little confused about this post also.  James contacted me a couple of
months ago when I advertised my 6090 for sale.  He seemed interested for a
while until he decided that my price with shipping was close to what he • could
pay for a new set in his local store.

I sincerely doubt that anyone could find a 6090 in any store anywhere in
Australia, especially not in Melbourne which is where I believe he lives.
He may have meant that he could buy the lastest castle set for that price?
Of course, it is entirely possible that he bought or traded a 6090 from
elsewhere.

I understand that James is 12 (other AFOLs in Aus have met him and
confirmed this).  His lugnet posts seem rather contradictory at times,
I'm not sure how much of this can be put down to youth and inexperience.

http://news.lugnet.com/loc/uk/?n=4066 makes interesting reading.  I do
not know if this was ever satisfactorily resolved from the UK seller's
point of view.

To James: I mean no offense but you must realise that many lugnetters will
be wary of trading with you if they perceive that you are not being
upfront with them.
