Priority is flat for wieghts under 5 lbs. After that there is a 8 Zone system (Zones 1-3 are all consider local with a single rate). It should also be noted that for weights under 13 oz first class is the best deal since priority startes at 3.20 for (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Which is true, however... I was told today that Delivery Confirmation only applies to priority mail or parcel post. No delivery confirmation on first class. You CAN get Delivery Conf on first class, but not for just 35 cents extra. You'll pay a fair bit. I have switched completely to using Delivery Conf, it's worth the peace of mind on my end. Has anyone been using any of the "print your own stamps on (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.shipping)

(...) This is my current scheme too, keep lots of denominations around. I just bought a scale which will help.
