Needless
to say - I am amazed that this seller posted in Lugnet of which I am a member
regarding an instance that could have easily be discussed between himself and
I?

G'day Brian, and all,

(nitpick: I was the buyer, not the seller)

I'm just now reading these messages.  First of all, to everyone,
I would like to say that Brian is a very decent seller.  Yes
I aired a complaint with him, and he was very open and honest
in trying to help rectify it.  (Regarding the LEGO itself a
few hours washing time and all was okey-dokey).

Second, my reason for posting here was not to attack Brian in
any way.  I think anyone who read my original post will see
that I went to pains *not* to mention the specific issue.  I
simply wanted some feedback about him in general, in parallel
to working out the issue with him personally.  This was
simply to see if anyone had any comments, good or bad, about
Brian for at that time I didn't know him from a hole in the
wall  :]  And the feedback I did receive here gave me great
confidence in working with Brian on the issue.

If anyone has any questions? Please feel free to contact me :) That is the
ladylike/gentleman like way to Remedy a situation. Posting in the newsgroups
most of the time makes muss and fuss out of everything and peoples emotions get
bent out of shape.

I think LUGNET is *the* most valuable resource for gauging the
credibility of a LEGO trader.  It's pretty much guaranteed
that anyone who has traded anything LEGO has dealt with someone
here at LUGNET.  Particularly for sellers, if you are a member
of LUGNET, do not be surprised should you see a query here
someday about your name.  But if you've got a good rep, then
you've nothing to worry about.  In this case I had no idea
that Brian was a LUGNET member.  Knowing that in itself is
very revealing about someone's rep, in my opinion, and I
probably would not have posted looking for info.

Brian, if I offended you in any way, it was inadvertent and
I apologize.  But I'm not sorry for asking about your rep or
ever about anyone else's.  If something someone else said
in response to "my thread" has offended you, well, that
wasn't my doing.

BTW, the eBay feedback I left for Brian was done before I
had read any of these recent messages.

(user "formula1k")  I think it speaks for itself.

Peace,
KDJ
