One thing I will say for eBay...

It sure has changed the meaning of "rare". I don't like their seller-oriented attitude, I despise fixed-end-time auctions in principle, but wow, are rare sets not rare anymore. Even as recently as a year ago, someone who tracked down 4(!) 6023 (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Payment from US to UK

Larry P is your best bet... but he is off-line right now, or at least his factoring service is. I live in the UK (Edinburgh) and have a method which allows me to bank US MO's (NOT postal) at zero cost to myself. To do this s/he will need a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: ebay inaccessible?

I can view pages just fine, but I've noticed that the hit rate for my auctions today has been _very_ low today. I was beginning to think that perhaps it was a public holiday in the US. Perhaps there is some sort of partial outage. Scott A (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
