Re: Complete 1650 Maersk Line Ferry with box and instructions

(...) Just for reference, a similar item just sold on ebay for $750. (URL) (20 years ago, 3-Dec-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

(...) Rachel, Do they all say "LEGO" on the studs? Most of the 1949-56 Lego does not, 1957-present does. The 1x6 and 1x8 beams without posts (as they are known versus the tubes on the 2x bricks) were made that way until 1964 (until 1970 in some (...)   Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

Thanks Gary, I also have 1x4, 1x6, and 1x8, without cylinders. The colour of the plastic is slightly different too. Perhaps the men go with the lego and it's all 1978? It's in excellent used condition, not even scratched. but I don't have any boxes (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

(...) OK, Here's a few helpful tips. If 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 pieces have NO tubes underneath, and they have slots on 2 of the sides of the bricks, they are from 1949-56. If 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 pieces have NO tubes underneath, and they have NO slots on the sides (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

Thanks for telling me about bricklink, I'll have a look around there. I think that I may not have phrased my question clearly. I have some of the very first lego ever made. It is not regular lego. The bricks don't have cylinders underneath. And the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

(...) Kinda depends on what specifically you've got-- some stuff like basic brick isn't terribly valuable, but other things are very valuable. Also depends on how much you've got. If you're buying a general "lot", new Lego typically goes for $0.10 (...) (20 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Appraisal of Old Style Lego

I recently purchased a heap of assorted lego at a garage sale... There is quite a lot of the old style lego, the stuff without the cylinders, in various colours. There are some old style men too, the ones where the arms are part of the body mould. (...) (20 years ago, 20-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Vintage Lego set 183 but......Italian

Hi, I am currently disposing of a ragtag mix of vintage Lego which I have inherited. Amongst it is a 4.5V train set No 183 in excellent condition but to my surprise the usual "with 4.5V motor" sticker on the front is in Italian and the instructions (...)   Re: Lego Emirates Plane set 1973 - value?

(...) You might want to consider selling it on BrickLink. I see that there are none of that set available and 43 people have it on their wanted list. Only one sale is shown, that being for $75 in July. (URL) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Appraisal

(...) Patrick, My recommendation: Monorail track and parts may be worth some decent money, check out bricklink or ebay. As to the rest. Weigh it up. Look at some bulk lots on ebay and see what they are going for, like $X/pound. it's good to have it (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
