Hi All,

I returned yesterday evening from the EastCoast Brick Fest put on by WAMALUG.
It was cool.  It appears that there are quite a few folks around who are LEGO
enthusiasts, and I thought it might be nice to put some kind of club together
for semi-regular events.

Who is interested?  I am imagining this to be for people centered on the
wideish corridor between NYC and Philly.  I am in central New Jersey.  I know
there are at least four of you out there who are also in my rough area.  There
were people from near Tom's River in DC this weekend.  There are probably
bunches in NYC and Philly, but I'm only thinking of a couple in NYC and one in
Philly, off-hand.

What would it be called?  NJLUG would be OK, but I don't at all want to exclude
anyone else who want's to participate.  Also, the LUG names have so far been
pretty utilitarian and geographic, it wouldn't need to be.

Well, let me know if there's any interest or if I'm missing something.  And if
you are interested, let me know what you think such an organization should do.

Chris

(...) That's a good idea--add me to the total. (...) Hmm...I had somehow been of the understanding that NELUG has sopped up a lot of the enthusiasts from our region...but I could be wrong. YES. I am interested. I was at BrickFest with my NLS, Jackie. I live in Forked River, which is just south of Toms River, NJ. I don't have too much room to host any sort of gathering, and what I do have is usually overrun by a large 95+ lb. loving (...) Hi Chis, I'm located in Berwyn, PA out in the west Philadelphia suburbs.... I would love to see a local LUG and would participate as much as my job and new family allow me to. I'm pretty much a town/train collector. Possible names - UMALUG - Upper (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nj)

YES, my LSO and I are definitely interested. We live near Scranton, PA. BrickFest sounded like so much fun, but it was just a little too far for us to go... something in New Jersey/NYC would be great for us. --Jennifer Christopher Weeks wrote in (...) Hello potential New LUG members... :-) Ok. It seems that there are several people who have replied to this thread that they would be interested in a local LUG. So. What is the next step? Do we need to find a place where we can meet? Are there other (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nj, lugnet.loc.us.pa.phi, lugnet.loc.us.pa.phi.all, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)
