Our purpose, how about something like this: To promote an environment that
will allow collectors, builders and other enthusiasts of Lego bricks to
converse, show creations, trade and otherwise explore the possiblities of
building (and playing) with Lego bricks.
What degree of formality will there be: I would suggest that the level of
formality would better be discussed in person, when several of the people
who have expressed interest are able to be in the same place. I think that
the first couple of meetings should be informal, and this will help the
potential members get a feel for how the group would turn out if/when it got
organized.

I checked with Yahoo Maps, and it tells me that from my house to your zip
code (08853) will take me about 1 hour 45 minutes. Who knows, it may even
be right. :-) That sort of travelling time would be fine for me. I do
agree that your area seems to be centralized for the area that we are
talking about.

I also agree that public events should be much later in the evolution of
this group. The first priority should be getting some people together and
seeing what happens.
