As of today, Charlotte is dead dry of all Star Wars and ThrowBots. Just when I
have enough money to acquire an X-Wing and Tie Fighter set and the three
ThrowBots I am missing (Ski, Granite, Electro) the sets are all gone.
I searched three each of Wal-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us. I also looked in
Zainy Brainy and found nothing the same. Lego Shop-at-Home and the Lego
Imagination Center have the Star Wars sets backordered until May or June.
If you want to reach the Pineville Toys R Us which will be opening at 11:59 PM
on May 3rd, I have drawn up some basic directions (from the Duhram Freeway) to
reach Charlotte.
Take the Duhram Freeway to 15-501 South until you reach I-40. Head west down I-
40 to I-85 South and follow I-85 South directly into Charlotte until you reach
the I-77 Intersection. Take I-77 south to the I-485 East. Follow I-485 East to
Exit 68-A. Turn right on Pineville-Matthews road and left on Carolina Place
PKWY. You'll see Toys R Us on the right, next to a Best Buy.
If these directions are too confusing, try using your own. Like I was saying,
I have a girl on the inside of another local Toys R Us and she might be able
to help me get some sets early.
