  Re: bulk ordering

(...) You got it! I believe the purpose of bulk ordering is to make it less expensive to obtain a specific element. That it does in every case. gray 2x4 bricks and black 2x4 medium slope bricks cost 34 cents each in service packs, 14 cents each vi (...)   Re: bulk ordering

I expect to pay LD a premium to buy just the parts I want and I don't really have a problem with it (although I thought the red 1x4x6 doors were a bit much at $2.00 a pop). I didn't order any basic bricks. About the only color basic bricks I can see (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

  Re: bulk ordering

I did the same sort of cost-analysis and only bought things that I can't get any other way. With discount and shipping, the black windows are .84 a pop, the blue thinwalls, 2x2 whites windows and trees are .30, and the tiles are .07. I decided not (...)   Re: bulk ordering

I visited the new bulk ordering section for Lego Shop at Home. What i don't get is their pricing -- it's all screwed up, not a good deal at all: For example, lets buy 1 of each, A. B. C. D. E. & F. of the standard bricks they are offering -- all the (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

  Re: bulk ordering

I place an order about 9:00 AM this morning. I bought: 3 bags of black 2x2 tiles 3 bags of white 2x2 tiles 1 bag of black 1x4x5 windows 1 bag of white 2x2 windows 1 bag of black roof apex bricks 1 bag of black 2x4 roof bricks I also bought some (...)   Re: bulk ordering

Unlike Frank, I'll probably put in an order today or tomorrow. I already have a $200 order figured out (mostly windows) so I won't need to combine orders to get the maximum discount. Good idea, though. Cary (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

  Re: bulk ordering

(...) I don't see anything there that I'm dying for right now. I can see that I will probably be building a skyscraper at some point with black windows (or the blue ones), and I'm glad I didn't win the auction for white classic windows several (...)   bulk ordering

As many of you know, bulk ordering is now a reality from lego. (URL) there any interest in putting one order together to get the discount and save on shipping? Jimmy (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

New Hope Valley Railroad exhibit in limbo

A while back I reported receiving a fairly favorable response from the New Hope Vallley Railroad about setting up a LEGO train exhibit during one of their train runs (hoping for May 7th). Since then I have heard nothing and they have not responded (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

Anyone seen the Shell sets yet?

I have checked two Shell stations for the sets (I-40 and Aviation Parkway near the Morrisville Outlet Mall) and at Hwy. 64 in Apex and had the same "I have no idea what you are talking about response" from both stores. Anyone seen them anywhere yet? (...) (25 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.nc, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

  Soccer Sets in the US

I found 3401 Shoot 'N Score at Zany-Brainy (Raleigh, NC) today. Here are my comments on the set: (URL) woman at ZB did not know when they would get the rest of the line, in fact, she was somewhat surprised that they received these. She also told me (...)   Small City Street

This evening instead of sorting, perusing LUGNET and eBay, I actually spent some time building! I like the small downtown streets like you find in the old part of Cary or Salem Street in Apex so I decided to build some store fronts like you might (...)   NCLUG 1st Event?

I heard back from New Hope Valley RailRoad over the weekend. They will discuss allowing us to participate at their next scheduled train ride (May 7th) at their board meeting the second week of March.   Possible Train Event!

I have finally heard back from the New Hope Valley Railroad regarding the possibility of setting up a train exhibit the next time they run their train. I gave them some more information and they are going to discuss it at their next meeting. The (...) (25 years ago, 14-Feb-00, to lugnet.org.us.nclug, lugnet.loc.us.nc, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)
