(...) Say, how come there isn't a GBLTC? (Greater Boston LEGO Train Club) Ya'd think with the MIT Underground Railroad thing here and all the history that there'd be at least 10 or 20 train-nutzoids out here? :-) --Todd (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.loc.us.ma, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

(...) Boston is one of the rarities in America, a non-rectangular designed city. Or rather, non-planned. Most inner cities here are the same - often the medieval moats are still running through them as well, so you can do nice liquid recreation. (...)   Re: take a piece, leave a piece -- traveling box of LEGO

There is talk of spawning a whole newsgroup for this activity, which I think would be swell. Till then, lets coordinate in Lugnet.general Looks like I will be bringing the whole lot back with me from Boston, unless there is a change in circumstance. (...) (...) That's just over 38 studs - a bit tight for a decent car, which is really all I can build. I've got an (already too-short looking) El Camino standing here that would fit if I take off the rear bumper corners, I guess BTW: It's got an (...)   Re: 8480 Space Shuttles in MA

You must have gotten the same employee I got. He couldn't have looked too hard. I, too, called in advance, although I knew I was going to go to the store anyway. The employee looked, and said he had 2 or 3 sets. I had him hold one for me. Then I got (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Rights to free goods? (was Re: What happened?

Now, I thought John Neal had come up with a good debate topic, but he moved the thread to the Boston group. Can I argue here? Is that legal? If so, I think Barney Miller was the Best Show ever. Period. ST. E and HSB took too much time (but they (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

(...) Well, I used to watch "Cheers". Does that count? Actually, my favorite show of all time is St. Elsewhere. Best show ever. Period.   8480 Space Shuttles in MA

Adam -- I find it hard to believe that the Kingston MA TRU store had run out, because I was there the same day, June 30th 1999, and they had 9 sets (8 after I left the store 8-) The price was about $138 ($129.99 plus tax).   Finally happy with my site. Plus some additions.
