  Wall Street Journal "Mindstorm" story

I hadn't seen any notes here about the story, so here's the scoop: Thursday, 12/10/98 in Marketplace (section B, page 1, top half!) is a story under the banner "Toys", written by Joseph Pereira, staff reporter for WSJ. You may be able to find a (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: See you in Carlsbad this March?

I will most likely only be going to the 3/14 Preview, and only be there for the day. I plan on driving down REAL early, and driving back REAL late. If anyone else bought a season ticket and wants to do a bonzai run for the Preview, let me know. My (...) (26 years ago, 15-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

See you in Carlsbad this March?

A bunch of folks from the S.F. Bay Area are planning to meet in Carlsbad, for the opening of LEGOLAND there.   Collectibility hype (Re: Legoland Carlsbad Annual Pass

I know some LEGO items will become collectibles, and some good sets rightly so, but it really makes me sick how TLG now stresses their collectability beforehand. Even the tickets to the park are presented as numbered collectible items, aiming to (...) (26 years ago, 14-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd)

  Re: Legoland Carlsbad Annual Pass

As of 5:00 PM Pacific time on Saturday, the magic 5000 number had not been reached, so there is still time to get the pass and participate in the soft opening preview.   Amazons in Sunnyvale

Saw four of the Amazon sets at the Sunnyvale TRU this evening. Riverboat set was $50, didn't price the others. They look sharp. Police boat from Town as well; didn't see anything else new. Kevin (26 years ago, 12-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Legoland Carlsbad Job Fair

Heard on KNX Newsradio on 4 December 1998 at about 11:15 in Los Angeles: Legoland Carlsbad is holding a Job Fair 13-14 December. Open positions include Food, Security, and other departments.
