  Re: Visit to LLW?

(...) As the crow flies, it's about 7 miles. You can see the runway from the top of the hill in LLW on a clear day. (...) and (...) Your best bet by road would be to get a coach directly to Heathrow from Gatwick, which takes about 1-1.5 hours, maybe (...) (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Visit to LLW?

I am hoping on the UK locals can offer me some advice. It looks like I will have to be in Stockholm on May 14th and 15th for work. It appears the flight schedules have changed quite a bit since I last made the trip from Raleigh, North Carolina to (...) (22 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: When was your LUG/LTC/MUG formed?

(...) Sound's about right, Simon. The idea and the catalyst came some months before though. (...)   Re: When was your LUG/LTC/MUG formed?

(...) I think you should remove UKLUG, that entity really never existed, it was just one of my stupid ideas :-) (...)   Re: Aldershot pics

(...) The Santa Fe train is mine. The passenger cars are pure MOCs, not modified 10022/10025 sets. It was on display at the Swindon bash, but didn't feature on any of the published photos. I've been meaning to post portraits to my Brickshelf (...) (22 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Aldershot pics

It looks like it was a fantastic fest. I wish I could have made it (came down with a nasty cold on the weekend). :( Can I ask, whose was the Santa Fe in the picture with the two 'B' cars and the modified carriages, and are there some closer photos (...) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Mos Eisley - you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Except...

Mos Lego! The first UK fest of the year was this last weekend at Aldershot. Some of us members of the Brickish Association ((URL) decided to put together a collaborative display, and the theme chosen was Mos Lego. We raided our tan supplies, and (...) They're not much, but I've just uploaded my pictures from yesterday's fest at Aldershot. The originals are higher resolution, I'll redo these if there's any call for it. (URL) moderated yet. Try: (URL) to (URL) out 701 & 702 Tony (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Huw in the news :)

Hi to all, I was reading the LEGO official news when I spot that: (URL) Huw :)) Gael - sad not to be able to join all of you for the next fest. (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Aldershot fest - Marvellous

Had a great time today, and my thanks to all of you who made it so enjoyable. The quality of modelmaking was superb, and there were great displays from the old school as well as the newbies. Also, despite my fears (and transportation disasters) the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Aldershot Wants List

I'd like a USB IR Tower for a mindstorms set. Can buy or trade for a new serial port tower + extras, or a small army of new stormtroopers, or a used, nearly complete snowspeeder. Mark (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Aldershot Wants List

Here's another - a few technic bits. I'm not sure what they're called but I think of them as turnbuckles. They're the little light grey block that has an axle hole through one end and a round hole through the other, so the two cross at right angles. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
