Hello folks
I don't know if this has already been mentioned here .. but, I visited a
Tesco's 'Extra' store at the weekend and they had all their Harry Potter
sets and most of their Star Wars sets at half price. Examples : Jedi
Starfighter £8.99, Bounty Hunter Pursuit £13.99, Chamber of Secrets £29.99,
Dumbledore's Office £22.49, most £8.99 sets reduced to £4.49. Most newer
sets (for example, the 'Designer' sets) were not reduced.
I suppose it may be that the Harry Potter sets were only reduced to coincide
with the release of 'Chamber of Secrets' on video. I saw these at Hampton
Vale, near Peterborough, as I was visiting my family last week. The Tesco's
near where I live, in Winchester, is nowhere near as big so I don't know if
the same prices apply in all the 'Extra' shops. I suppose there's only one
way to find out ..
And to think I only went in for a carton of milk!

| (...) Yes, same in Tescos in Cambridge (Newmarket road one, at any rate), plus they have all the new 2003 sets in. In addition, the local Woolies (Cambridge still) is closing next weekend, and they already have a few deals on lego - perhaps they'll (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
