The front mudguards that follow the steering of the front wheels is a
nice touch.  Did you use the colour black for them because you run out
of blue, or for another reason?  I think they "vanish" a bit with the
tyres being black, too.  I think perhaps the model would have looked a
bit more funky with the front mudguards blue as well.  What do you
think?

You are right, I simply ran out of the blue hinge pieces that I have used
for all of the mudguards.  Blue would have been better, but I also noticed
that the most expensive Caterham 7s (the Superlight R) have unpainted carbon
fibre front mudguards, with painted rear mudguards.  This made me feel much
happier at the realism of the combination of the colours.  I still think the
photos would be better with an all-blue model though.  Should anyone care to
lend me some blue front mudguards I'll take some more photos ;-)

It's been interesting to follow the progress of the creation of this model, and the finished model is certainly great!
