Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Jonathan Wilson
(...) Nope! No Such Luck. They are not allowed to produce technic SW figs because whoever makes the starwars action figures has an exclusive liscence for those and technic figs are considered action figures (but minifigs aren't) -- Jonathan Wilson (...)         Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Todd Lehman
(...) I think these are minifig-scale[1] anyway, which would be very cool, IMHO. One possible clue to this (that they're minifig-scale and not Technic scale) is that the set numbers are still part of the 71xx range of the LEGO SYSTEM Star Wars sets. (...)         Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Eric Joslin
(...) That depends. Are the technic-scale figs mix-n-matchable like the minifigs? That's how they got away with the minifigs- they're "construction toys". (...) I dunno about that. The front of the X-Wing, by the front of the canopy, is 4 studs (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Matthew Miller
(...) No, they're not. They've got connectors for technic pegs, but aren't modular. You can take them apart, but it's sorta like pulling the arms from minifigs -- not _supposed_ to happen. (note that I'm removing this from .loc.uk and adding (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

In lugnet.loc.uk, Eric Joslin writes: <snip> (...) Except that I've been waiting for YEARS for someone to make a Millennium Falcon that has a hallway all the way up to the cockpit, instead of terminated at the edge of the circular section.          Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Steven Vore
(...) Somewhere there's a site that goes into excrutiating detail on the internal inconsistancies in the Falcon and tries to put together the "best-possible" floorplan. If you've not seen it, I'll do some searching. -S (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Eric Joslin
(...) Uh, but that has little to do with selective compression. That's a feature you'd like to see implemented. It would still have to be implemented with selective compression to make it scaled to minifigs, which are already selectively compressed (...)         Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Todd Lehman
(...) Jiminy H. Cricket! OMG, totally! That would rock so hard! If a UCS Millennium Falcon cost $500.00 and had 5000 pieces and if was as accurate and anywhere near as great as the TIE Interceptor and the X-wing, I'll bet it would still sell out! (...)          Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Jeff Stembel
As cool as it'd be, I'd be happy with a UCS A-Wing and B-Wing. I love those ships! The big question is, would the Millenium Falcon be at the same scale? Jeff (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Very high-detail scans of the SW Collector's series sets —Steve Bliss
(...) Even if a UCS MF was smaller scale, cost $100.00~$150.00, with the appropriate number of pieces, it would still be way cool. Steve (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)
