Destroyer Droid - anyone got the back leg working properly?

Mine does not open when the red button is pressed, and I cannot see quite
how it is supposed to. I presume the front legs open first, then somehow
knock the black piece that holds the back leg upright.

Does anyone's work as advertised?

Also, my front legs go back further than I think they should, when unfolded.
Is that normal? Its not really a problem because the weight of the model
holds them in the right place.

My front legs go back further than the illustration as well, so that's probably normal. I think various bits are meant to open when a shock is provided. If you can get the front legs to work right, the rest of it should bounce itself open. My main (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
