My mania magazine is here :)

Mine came with two copies of BIONICLE #1- one in a bag with the magazine, and one in its own bag. The magazine is decent, but the MOCs aren't as cool this time. And here are the real Ontario prices of the S@H specials: KC501 Turanga Collector's Kit (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Lego Life on Mars Tour

Cool at least Canada finally gets a stop. Although they should have made it for the weekend, so kids who have working parents get a chance as well. Cheers Oliver "Kevin Stone" <h-kstone@home.com> wrote in message news:GDro49.q9@lugnet.com... (...) (23 years ago, 25-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Lego Life on Mars Tour

Looks like Lego has organized a Life On Mars Truck Tour that is slated to be at the Science Centre in Toronto on July 5th and 6th. The tour truck with adjacent tents is to be set up in the parking lot, so admission is free. Here is the link for (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.ca)

Re: Lego at Sears Outlet Brampton

(...) I think you are right...6600 has been generally viewed by most as "disappointing"...very juniorized as you say...except the "crane" has 3 different attatchments which isn't too bad... me...I just love the raised hiway...and hopefully in (...)   RE: Lego at Sears Outlet Brampton

Hi, I've always checked the Sears Outlet in Kitchener for LEGO and they never had any. So I went there today thinking that I might luck out. They did have a few small sets: Soccer Expansion Set, Firefighters Lift Truck, Island Hopper, and the (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

Re: Lego at Sears Outlet Brampton

(...) Although I hate juniorization, I ended up picking up set 6600 for my three year old son. He loves cranes, and I figure with this set being extremely juniorized it is appropriate for his age with supervised play. Besides I'm getting tired of (...)   Re: Lego at Sears Outlet Brampton

(...) <snip> (...) Just for the record, I bought one of these a little while back, and it's a pretty disappointing set: extreme juniorization. The road bits and some of the construction hardware is neat, but the vehicle chassis, crane deck, etc, (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  Lego at Sears Outlet Brampton

I thought I would share some good deals I found today at the Sears Outlet in Brampton (Queen & 410). Two previous times I've checked this location there was no sign of Lego to be found - today was a different story. All Lego has an additional 25% (...)   Re: Meeting

(...) I will be asking my very cool wife if I can come out to play on Wednesday also. Please email me directions to your place also. And by the way, you're not alone Jude, I also am very jealous of all these great scores I've been hearing about. (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

(...) I understand, but tough cookies for anyone who would complain. (...) That is fine, email me shiningblade@home.com with the details (address and parking instructions) I do not think you want to post you address on the web. (...) Good idea. :-) (...)   Meeting

I can do the meeting Wednesday evening. I have to tell you though that I do not have much on display (exept for tonnes of bricks). Only one MOC under construction and I am planning on tearing apart the backend to make it longer. Warning: it will be (...) (23 years ago, 6-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott)

  Re: score (Ontario Lego Society)

(...) I for one think an Ontario/Quebec wide get-together would be awesome. I think Ottawa would be a wonderful place to host it too. <grin> Seriously though, I do wish I could get to the rtlToronto/train1 event. I probably won't make it (I'd have (...) (...) Don't give up! the Blockminding game is a lot more free form than Stacking, Sumo or Marbles. There's lots of latitude to build cool stuff! Calum (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: score

Well, it's LEGO, so it's worth it, right? But I know the feeling you mean, thinking "what have I done?" afterwards. I wish I could get you to buy me some more from the LEGO outlet, but I better slow down for now. I've been told our bank account is (...)   Re: score (Ontario Lego Society)

The lot that you won looks well worth it! But, what I don’t understand is why people go out and buy such new sets only to sell them within a year? (I saw that there was an R2 D2 in your lot, therefore I'm assuming that the seller only recently (...)   Re: score

Ya, I got outta hand on that one. I was hoping that the seller would say "No...don't ship to Canada". But he replied that it was fine. So like you said I had better enjoy the box.
