(...) I'm there but, as per usual, I finish work at 5 and trying to get into the big smoke takes a little bit of time. Hope i get to see Calum lose it again ;) Take care and safe travels. Dave (24 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Bulk Buying Power for Lego Shop @ Home

(...) smallish (...) Is there any chance of getting significant discounts from Lego by buying REALLY large quantities? I'd like to order literally thousands of grey 1xN bricks, and it seems absurd to get them for $0.15 each, wastefully packaged into (...)   rtlToronto Dinner at Mel's this Friday (Jan 12) at 6pm

As it says, join us for dinner at Mel's Montreal Deli (440 Bloor) at 6pm this Friday, for Lego related talk and reasonably good and cheap food. Subway to Bathurst Station, get out on Bathurst Street, walk down south to Bloor Street, and walk east (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Future Shop - Canadian Tire

(...) Thanks to both Oliver and Kevin-I've got a 1.5 on order off the website. There's free shipping with orders over $75. I don't think the $147 is an error at all, they're clearing them out. Every year they bring in Mindstorms at $239-249 for (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

FOTY: Future Shop - Don't walk - run to your nearest store!

Oliver, Thanks for the heads up on the Futureshop error. I received my flyer today and headed out to my nearest Futureshop(Waterloo) to see what they had.   Catapult Crusher at Grand&Toy

I was in Grand&Toy at Hillcrest mall yesterday looking for a 2001 calendar and discovered that they sell Lego. According to the clerk they sell only during the Christmas season.   SW Buckets at TRU

I took a trip to the TRU at Lawrence and VicPark this morning and noticed that they have a fair number (15-20) of the SW buckets (7159). Well... 7 less now that I've been there. I know that many people hate these buckets but at $14.98 I think (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  DDK for $49.95 @ PlayValue

My grandmother just called me to let me know the DDK is $49.95 at PlayValue. You gotta love her, she is the only member of my family who encourages my addiction like that. :-) Jude (24 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott)

  Re: Sith/Pod racer combo pack

(...) Wow. That's a good deal (still wondering why I didn't buy any Infiltrators for $14.99 when Price Club had them in on a skid). BTW, if you can, come on out to the rtlToronto monthly dinner-details: (URL) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  Sith/Pod racer combo pack

Hello Brickheads, My local TRU, Yonge & Eglinton, still has the old $18.99 price on their stock of Sith/Pod racer combo set. Still about 10 left in a stack on the floor, no sign of special price.
