Re: Hobby Show November 3-5, 2006

(...) Count me in for all three days. (...) Done. It's easily worth a few bucks to be able to enjoy a LEGO weekend like that. (...)   Hobby Show November 3-5, 2006

Good day! Turns out that there is an interest of Ontario LEGO builders in attending this year's Hobby Show at the International Centre in Toronto, Ontario.   S@H summer 2006 catalogue out

Well, I have to admit I found a few things to not be happy with about the new catalogue. Ignoring that we are getting hosed with the exchange rate, some of the unpleasant surprises are: -baseplates of all sorts are up in price. 626 green 32x32 is (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Flag Sculpture

(...) Great job Jason! But I have to object to the LEGO Factory's $24.07 CDN price tag especially since it is only $17.40 US (not that it is well priced in its own right), but still...   Canadian Flag Sculpture

After playing around with Digital Designer for a bit I thought I'd try and actually design something using the available parts.   Zellers BOGO Friday May 19th to Friday May 26th

Zellers flyer has "Buy 1, Get 1 1/2 price All LEGO sets. Second item must be of equal or lesser value". Because of the long weekend*, the sale starts an extra day earlier, going from Friday May 19th to Friday May 26th. The big question is are there (...) (18 years ago, 16-May-06, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Train layout ideas for future Ontario/Canada train shows

(...) THe idea would be that anyone from Canada can use CanBrick :) It's kinda a 'catch all' wehn multiple groups do a show and don't want to be pegged as a specific LUG. (...) We did the same at rtlT1 and rtlT2. After that, it was into the (...) (18 years ago, 11-May-06, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, FTX)

Re: Train layout ideas for future Ontario/Canada train shows

(...) CanBrick should not be taken by a single area club, IMO. (Victoria speaks up!) (...) Not too important, as long as it is known in advance that the module is not going to show up. It is perfectly possible to have a L shaped layout. Not sure if (...) (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, FTX)

Re: Train layout ideas for future Ontario/Canada train shows

(...) The next show, at this time, be the Christmas Train Show, probably in November As well, there'll be the Hobby SHow, if folks still want to do that one. Both shows will probably be 2-3 weeks apart so it'll be busy.\ Dave K (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, FTX)

Re: Train layout ideas for future Ontario/Canada train shows

(...) We sort of had to "ensure" the ends...which in early rtlToronto train layotus meant me bringing the ends every time. But that said, if one person brings a corner, and the other person can't, the layout still works, it's just a "r" instead of (...) (18 years ago, 10-May-06, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, FTX)

Train layout ideas for future Ontario/Canada train shows

We've been discussinng this for quite a while, so I'm going to endeavour to organize something. The fact is that LEGO Train layouts go over extremely well at train shows. We keep getting invites to various venues to display our LEGO train layouts. (...)
