Good day!
Turns out that there is an interest of Ontario LEGO builders in attending this
year's Hobby Show at the International Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
So here's a few prelims--
Those of you who were there last year may remember the soap opera that was due
to tables and electrical rentals...
Well, without too much of a song and dnace, we may face the same this year,
except that I have access to 5-6 folding tables (kindly lent from my wonderful
company). I will also have better table cloths this year so our little area
(whatever area that may be) will look at least semi-professional ;) If someone
else has access to tables, I don't think 5-6 are gonna cover it. We could, in a
pinch, use train modules.
So that means that we'll have to pay for power--it was a hundred bucks last
year, and will probably be the same this year. I've heard that, so far anyway,
about 10 people want to show up and display. If you're so inclined, slip me
some cash to cover the power.
Other than that, the ball's a-rollin'! Let's give the Hobby Show viewers the
best LEGO display in the history of, well, the Hobby Show!
More details to follow
Take care,
Dave K
