  RE: Canadian Lurkers

Hello, This thread has the feel of an AA meeting....I'm Bob from Kitchener and I'm an AFOL. I post occasionally but usually just relating to Zellers sales...by the way the sale at Sears last Saturday was a dud (door crasher 25% off)...their prices (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Lurkers

(...) Heh. Just don't do what a friend of mine did on a cross-country trip. "Hi Aunt (name)! I'm at the Tim Horton's down the street, can I come and visit you?" <grin> James - definately not lurking (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Lurkers

(...) Especially seeking Newfoundland lurkers... I'm out here on my own as far as I know. It's a long swim to the nearest AFOLs in Halifax! I wonder if 'province' could be shown in the member pages for us the same way 'state' is for the US? Cheers, (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.loc.ca.nf)

  Re: Canadian Lurkers

I have been lurking, I am Canadian, but I live in Idaho. I have been reading the posts because I am going to the Toronto area to visit my cousins ( and Aunts & Uncles) in two weeks. I haven't seen some of them for almost 20 years. Rose "Adam Murtha" (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Lurkers

Dean, you're not a lurker, neither is Bryan, but that's okay. :) But you were thinking the same thing I was, to draft new people into their local LUG, if they are willing, of course. And I will name names to bring out the ones who guilty of lurking! (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Canadian Lurkers

(...) Yes! I'm Bryan and I'm proud to be a Canadian AFOL! :) Here in Canada we probably have the cheapest regular price LEGO compared to the rest of the world. Now if only we got some of those clearance blowout prices like they get in the US... (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Canadian Lurkers

Alright, I'm calling out all of the Canadian lurkers, those of you who just read what we do here, but don't post. I watch all the time for new Lugnet members who are from Canada, and there seems to be a fairly steady stream, but none of those people (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Heads up: Vision Command Sale

(...) You bet!! All you really need is the USB input on your computer....(and over 100MB of hard drive space). It works fine without an RCX. Benjamin Medinets (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Heads up: Vision Command Sale

This is killing me, I brought two at full price! I guess prices come down over time. (URL) Sophie (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Heads up: Vision Command Sale

(...) Is this of any use at all without a Mindstorms kit? I'll get an RCX eventually, when they go on enough discount, but should I pick this up in the meantime? Assuming there are any at my store, of course. Cheers, Heather (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Heads up: Vision Command Sale

  Heads up: Vision Command Sale

The Toys R Us at Victoria Terrace (Victoria Park and Lawrence) has the Vision Command sets on sale for $59.95 (vs. $149.95 - 60% off). After I was done with them, there were two left. This probably applies to other TRU's as well. Matthias Jetleb (...) (23 years ago, 16-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Shell Promo Availability?

G'day Chris, Coming back to an old thread here... I finally made it up to the Shell at 12 Mile and Halstead. They had squat. They had a handfull of the small sets left, and nothing else. Did they have a lot of the large sets before? Did they just (...) (23 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  The LEGO Prices at Zellers

Lots of reduced prices at Zellers! Will they ever order these sets again? Hard to say, but there are some really recent sets here. The average lifespan of a set has dropped a lot lately. STUDIOS <set:1351 Movie Backdrop Studio> $65.00 <set:1352 (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) geocities doesn't want you to link to the JPGs, because then the viewer won't see the ads. The JPGs must be put in pages, and you must link to the pages, not the images.
