What do you store your Lego in? —Braith Garden
Hi all, Very quiet here at the moment so I thought I'd start a local thread. Well, after moving house and dismantling all of my official Lego sets (took some pics but haven't been to a lab yet), I've decided to sort my pieces with efficient building (...)      Hi Braith, I bought two Rubbermaid brand 12 draw stackable storage packs. Each pack has a total of 96 compartments. I think they were about $36.00 each at K-Mart. Later I bought a smaller 6 draw version with 48 compartments and have stacked the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)

Hi all, I have approx 30,000 pieces from 250 sets. I store all the pieces sorted and sorted in plastic drawers that can be seen at (URL) The pictures where taken when I had approx 15000 pieces. I have added more drawers since then. This takes up all (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)

Thanks for the info guys. A system of drawers is a good idea for a dedicated Lego room. I wanted a system that was semi-portable as well, hence the tackle boxes. I like to be able to take a collection of useful/fun pieces to my folks place and build (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)

(...) As long as the plastic of the storage container is softer than Lego then I think it's OK. The Lego will scratch the container rather than the container scratching your Lego! Build on. Braith. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)

(...) SNIP (...) I have thousands of bits - never bothered to count and I use those 2 litre ice cream containers I have bought some small trays for the liddle widdle bits But the IC containers are great you can stack them up ( so long as they are (...)          Re: What do you store your Lego in? —Braith Garden
(...) All of my Lego was stored in 2 and 5 litre plastic ice cream containers when I was younger. I started with a bucket for each colour, until it became hard to find pieces amongst the black elements. I still use a few for holding minifigs, (...)    Hi Braith you write: (...) $17 for the 3700 ? ouch! here in the US they sell for $3.97 at Walmart. This is the 2 " depth translucent plastic tray right? I must say I am surprised at the price difference. The storage system I have been developing (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)

Re: What do you store your Lego in? —Braith Garden
(...) Yep, same one, and it works out to about US$11.00 (AUS$17.00). Could be a sales tax issue but I don't know enough about it to make much of a comment. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.au.wa.per)
