In the light of another suggestion about dinner, do we want to go in the
arvo, see the lego then go out (home for those who can't stay)?

If you saw the Bill Gates' Leonardo notebook, it's in the same area, the
lego is rather spread out, divided into different sections. I walked in and
it was quite quiet, I thought cool, couple of minutes in and I'd just steped
out of the area with 5 or so soccer fields on stands and it was waist deep
in kiddies, school excursions gallore. Talk about loud. I was standing next
to the mindstorms pit with the DDK DSDK and an RIS running about, they
couldn't leave them alone! They kept pick them up, even when moving... sigh.
Up the back there are some keyboardless computers running software from
lego, you can see what the movie set does (sort of, well not really, you can
fiddle, if you've got time...) and the other programs.
The store is a bit bigger than a BigW isle, but much more packed, floor to
practically ceiling of Ultimate Tie and X-Wings, Mindstorms and Falcons,
they also had watches, books and software (and apparel? not sure about this
last one). They didn't have chrome castle though :(
In summary.
Good to see the DDK in the flesh (ABS?) I'll defintely be picking up an R2D2
for $99 (they have it special) There was a neatish SW display (if you don't
mind a large rebel hanger with random Vader fighting Ep1 ObiWan), The wall
climbers are cool, there's a Vision command to look at (forget getting past
the kids to actually use the thing) and if you've got the money, the store.
Of course, if there are too many kids there it's less fun but go and see it
if(when) you can.

P.S. Take your camera, you'll see why when you are going in, a good photo
opportunity.

Depends, when I went there were school kids, teachers, parents and toddlers,
Saturday may be different but I'd not hold my breath.
