  King's Leo Castle Display?

Evening all, Eli called me a couple of hours ago having seen an ad on the telly suggesting that Westfield Figtree (near Warrawong/Wollongong) is having some sort of display apparently centred around King Leo's Castle. This seemed like a new display (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Studs and LegOz 2000.3

(...) Can't wait for the commentary page!! Glad you like the photos. I might have to read your photo FAQ page at Port Block again for some tips as I'm ashamed that some of the photos didn't turn out. I have a digital camera now so I have no excuse! (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd, lugnet.general)

  Studs and LegOz 2000.3

The updated Studs page is now online, including links to details of the recent LegOz 2000.3 - thanks to Peter Callaway for the photos.   Re: Thunderbirds Are GO !!! (Well maybe)

(...) Thanks for the link! According to a backofanenvelope calulation I did the other day a TB2 at minfig scale would be 1.7m long, 1.3m wide and 0.5m high. At that scale though getting the curves and so on right would be easy, it's just a matter of (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

I think colour would be a big problem with Thunderbird 2, as it was green (at least on my TV) and I don't see a lot of green Lego slopes (at least not in the sets I have).   Re: Battle of Tank Stream

In lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd, David Low writes worthy stuff in contribution to the developing tale of the Battle of Tank Stream. Cool. Thanks Dave, will add. I'll have the draft page up by the end of the weekend. Regards Richard Still baldly going.... (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Battle of Tank Stream

(...) <snippage of the mighty battle> Excellent work Richard -- perhaps contributions to the text would be inspired by a draft page on the Studs site that has some of PeteC's pics as they come to hand.   Re: trains in brickwars?

(...) Maybe around the perimeter would be safer, unless you carried Eli's Big Bertha with you on every trip. We better keep this quiet, or people will be building ground attack aircraft to clean up the train. pete.w (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  RE: trains in brickwars?

Or, why not have the train travelling at a slow, constant speed around the tracks. Then, if some-one is caught on the track as the train comes along..They could have a minor problem :) Benjamin Whytcross BWhytcro@PacificAccess.com.au Ph: (03) 9856 (...)   trains in brickwars?

This might sound silly but its coming from me who hasn't read the brickwars rules. It sure looked like your brickwars could use some railway to transport troops. If there was say a figure of 8 running around the field would it allow quicker movement (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Thunderbirds Are GO !!! (Well maybe)

(...) At first glance the building solutions presented themselves quite well (to me, anyway). It was more the colour problem that I was concerned about. I have heaps of 2x2/2x4 slopes and 2x3/4x3 low slopes in grey, but I'm a bit light on with the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) The pics are on my site, www.geocities.com/jehowse thunder1 2 and 3.jpg I think. These are POVRay renderings of an incomplete TB1 model I LDrew earlier this year. (...) We got as far as James e-mailing me his ldraw pics of the stages. It is an impressive vehicle he has modelled, and minifig scale too!!   Thunderbirds Are GO !!! (Well maybe)

Hi All, Sounds like I missed a good day out at Pete's on the weekend. Anyway. One of my sons unearthed my old (I mean OLD) Thunderbird 2 die cast the other day. Last night I built it out of LEGO. Scale is "microfig car fits in the cargo hold/drop (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Battle of Tank Stream

(...) Great first draft, interesting for all, bar the comatose ! (...) We shouldn't forget the trains, maybe if we acquire a big enough playspace, we will all be in the one room.   Re: Battle of Tank Stream
