  BrikWars final organisations

Hi everyone, Just finalising for the whole brikwars scenario for the big meet. We will play the whole thing by ear but the definites are: - Snow terrain (no similarity to The Empire Strikes Back intended) - The plot will involve scientific outpost (...) (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) Are Vehicle / Weapon upgrades being used? Do we have to use TL5, or is TL6 also available? Can I have custom weapons (ie rifles with grenade launchers, hehehe ;)), or does that get too complicated? David (new to this brikwars thing)... (22 years ago, 28-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) Any upgrades from the rulebook are allowed. TL6, because it is the most creative :) Sorry, no custom weapons - adds too much confusion. Also on a side note I don't think that we should be playing with fire either as it adds too much (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) ... If a nosy Yank might interject a thought, I'd suggest *not* to shy away from fire. It certainly seems complicated at first, but it's actually pretty straightforward, and the benefit of having it in the game is nearly immeasurable. Witness: (...)   Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) Ok, so that's relegated the low power rifle scopes to decoration (high power scope = TL6 sniper cannon), but I can certainly live with that. :) What if they're not really custom weapons, but combination weapons? Like for my rifle + GL = gyro (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) Hi Shaun, it's always good to have a noisy Yank interjecting thoughts especially when they're had more experience in the field! You put up a very good arguement. It does add so much more visual pleasure - maybe I'll bring along a heap of (...) (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) I spose compination weapons would be OK. Your formula above seems to work OK.... It should prolly be the same thing for attachiing bayonets and stuff too... Zac (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

Hey, if I bring my 'Nicetrons' (which I'm seriously thinking of doing) can I say their hand weapons (Gyro-pistols and knives) don't 'kill' but just 'stun' people for the rest of the game. I can't see it'd make any real difference in gameplay... I'm (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: BrikWars final organisations

(...) You could have the Gyropistols stun as per the rules, I don't think you can stun people with knives unless you hit them on the head with the handle?? What's wrong with the "space dudes" anyway? They're much more brikwarsy than the Nicetrons. (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Port Block Yards Security Forces (was Re: BrikWars final organisations)

The Port Block Yards Security Forces are sending a 24 strong contingent - Captain John E Ball (erstwhile in command of HES Supply in Sector 62), the venerable Tiberius Flint and team (459 points). The Yards are also sending a reconditioned Republic (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Port Block Yards Security Forces (was Re: BrikWars final organisations)

(...) Ceremonial? That's only one step removed from 'ornamental'! I scoff at your ceremonial bayonets. Actually, I scoff at your mere gyro rifles too. :-) Cheers Richie (whose Space Conquistadors have lightsabre bayonets on their seige rifles). (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Port Block Yards Security Forces

(...) Looks fine to me. You may want to convert the "TL" in the armour column to a number (6) and complete the sum. Saves doing it every time you look on the day. Bayonets would be a blade paid for seperatly (knife or sword if you're really keen) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
