I retract what I said about the long weekend. According to my diary, we are
celebrating Australia Day on Saturday 26 January, with no extra public
holiday.

A colleague provided me with this list of State Government WWW sites for
public holidays in that state:

QLD: http://www.wageline.qld.gov.au/publichols/
NSW: http://www.dir.nsw.gov.au/holidays/
VIC: http://www.information.vic.gov.au/faqs/holidays.html
ACT: http://www.act.gov.au/NewServices/information/publichols/

All of them show that Mon 28 Jan is now a public holiday in their respective
states. So Thunderbirds Are Go for a meeting on Sunday 27 Jan!
