I will definately have to come to the next one of these, although i fear i
have nothing as spectacular as you MOC's. Nevermind half the fun is just
being there..

In lugnet.loc.au, James Howse (masking as Richard Parsons) writes:
Here we are at Richard's wrapping up almost two straight days of lego • action
(show). Yesterday was the Powerhouse Museum excursion, 4 MUGS, a LadyBUG • and
5 Studs and a studling, (Welcome Richard Dillion, delurking with style). • The
shop at the end of the exhibition was raided depriving the shelves of
several buses, watches and Adventurer value packs.
Today, shopping in Penrith, collection of sleepy MUGS and STUDFEST VII in
Mittagong surely the most sumptious venue, packed with Legophiles yet.
More reporting to come but the Pirates are preparing to flee a renewed
onslaught of Bricktorian Technic(TM? Andrea?) shuttle mounted nuclear
weaponry since they've run out of Paddle Pops(TM) to eat.

All that really needs to be said is we've all had a really great • time.(END
of sentence, Happy Andrea?) Thanks to Richard (for organising) Peter (for
bunking MUGS), to said MUGS and a BUG for making the trip and all the
linesmen, ballboys and JohnnyThunders(TM) who bravely gave their lives in
BrikWars.

It's been a blast. (Nuclear).

Some more details from yesterday's mega-meet:

In attendance were Kerry from Brisbane; Martin, Sue Ann, Ross, Ben and • Paul
from Melbourne, and locals Richard, Pete, James, Kev, Andrea, Eli and
myself. The meeting room at the Mittagong RSL was very good: large, well
lit, plenty of tables and ample refreshment close to hand (unless you • asked
for the kid's meal cheeseburger).

MOC highlights included the HES Indescribable just out of Port Block • Yards,
Fort Kurst of Andrastavia, Thunderbird 1 by James and ROSCO's mammoth • crane.
Several of us contributed troops to Kev's Andrastavian battlefield -- • can't
wait for the next chapter! Ben brought his staggering collection of
catalogues, promotional leaflets and the like, and the most heinous • assembly
of Johnny Thunder figs I've ever seen. They dominated the Welshishish
battlefield, although I suspect that one less tactical nuke and a bit more
Bruce Willis could have turned the tide.

We enjoyed a good deal of trading, clone vs LEGO discussion, and the
prospect of doing it all again in about six months. Thanks to everyone,
particularly the various hosts and lift-givers and the interstate folks • for
making the trip.
