The Cost of Living VS Lego (Was Re: A Parental Perspective)

(I've removed dear-lego from the headers.) (...) Of course it all varies depending on how and where you live! :) I was trying to put those Lego prices into some sort of frame that would let overseas types understand just how expensive Lego is, (...)   Anybody know the mail address for Chris Moseley?

Do anybody know the mail address for Chris Moseley, AKA Moz? It appears that his old mail address does not work. Thanks! Fredrik (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

There are many worlds and many times. In some of these Monkey was not so fortunate. It is written that the Great Sage won a fine victory over the Jade Emperor, and then left the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit in search of Enlightenment. That he (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Some older Time cruiser and technic sets spotted

I've recently come across the following unopened sets in a toy shop. The boxes have a varying degree of shelfwear, but I believe the seals are still intact. The sets are: 6493 time cruisers boat $87.42 [2 copies] 8456 Fibreoptic set $100.58 8855 (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  More Toolo 2 found

I was in Camberwell [Melbourne] at lunchtime and saw two more 'action wheelers' sets: 2904 Motorbike $14.95 2919 Racing car $29.95. This set comes with a 'light and sound element' [though I don't really see why] So, shouldn't be long till BigW gets (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: Soccer sets here at last.

(...) It seems to me to be geography-based. My 3401 from Germany has a Zidane, while my 3401 from the US (where they probably don't know who he is) just has the green and red/white/blue figs. (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: 11 a side field (was Re: Soccer sets, thumbs up)

(...) We have an 11 a side lineup that is the result of several season's worth of play (we have an 8 team League at work and we take it pretty seriously!). It works pretty well, as we try to restrict the ability for direct shots (matches now have (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
