But the interesting thing was the start line was in front of the LEGO
aisle, and in the background there was a HUGE pile of what looked like 4679
bonus tubs (they had the bonus box on top). Has anyone ever seen those at
Target?
|
Could they have been 5370s - a smaller, simpler tub, with a smaller,
simpler bonus box on top? The Target I visited on Monday had stockpiled a
great deal of them. (Shown bottom right of the lego section in
this pic, but with the
box detached)

Ahhh, could well have been. Does anyone know if the bonus boxes are as good
as the 4679?

Both the tub and box are numbered 5370, each have a set inventory on the side,
so no random parts or funky selections. Both contain a typical creator
assortment of bricks and specialised elements, 500 in the blue tub and 200 in
the yellow box. There are 8 of the boxy 2 x 4 x 3 windows (4 white frames + 4
yellow frames), all with light bley inserts. There are 2 black doors (1 yellow
frame and 1 white frame).
Strangely the purple bricks in the tubs come in 2 shades, the tub inventory
seems to only indicate one purple shade. The 1 x 2 brick and inv. slope are the
lighter shade, the rest are the purple shade from other creator boxes.
