    > Appeal to that market, or condescend to it? Yes, I wondered that myself. Do these sets represent the Asian world (geography, history, culture) as the people of the Asian world perceive it? Or is it a representation of the Asian world as Denmark (...) (21 years ago, 20-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) At the risk of over-analysing this further, I try to look at it from a kid's perspective, or at least my own hazy memory of what a kid's perspective is. My conclusion based on this is: I don't care. Lego was never, and indeed still isn't a (...) (21 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

Bastardisation of cultures (was: B'ville takes an expedition to the Orient) —James Howse
(...) Check out the comic on the LEGO site, particularly "The Restless Mummy". He sounds like a mutant cross between Steve Irwin and Crocodile Dundee. The amusing thing is that even though Johnny has always been Australian, Steve is a recent (...) (21 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.au)
